Monthly Meeting of the Hampton Democrats
This is the meeting where we will (hopefully) be announcing who are State Representative candidates are going to be for the year. Come and get the inside scoop before the public announcement in June.
We will also be discussing the summer’s social events and community service opportunities, the latter helping to raise visibility for our deep commitment to making Hampton the best town possible.
Food & Gift Card Drive
If you’re in a position to help hungry kids, we are working with the Hampton Community Coalition to feed families in our community.
If you are able to purchase groceries, they are looking for these sepcific items: jars of tomato sauce for pasta, dried beans, 4 or 6 packs of applesauce, small bags of pretzels, yogurt covered fruits and nuts (but please no peanuts!), and GoGo squeeze pouches. To round out care packages, gift cards in $10 increments to Market Basket and Wal-Mart also are very helpful.
Please drop off your groceries or gift cards at our monthly meeting. Can’t stay? That’s okay. Do-gooders are welcome to drop and dash!
Free State Project Informational Session
The North Hampton Democratic Committee is hosting Zandra Rick Hawkins, the Executive Director of Granite State Progress.
Have you heard of this group? It’s a group of Libertarians who are working to take over every level of government so that they can dismantle government. Sign up here.
CANCELED: Social Events Subcommittee Meeting
Our planned meeting isn’t needed as we have planned our social calendar for the remainder of the spring and into the summer. Our subcommittee will convene again in June.

Popcorn, candy, and soda will be provided. Care for something stronger? BYOB. Consider bringing a camp chair. While we have office seating, you might prefer something a little more relaxed! Sign up here to let us know you’re coming.
Public Service Events Subcommittee
We’re figuring out the details of our summer events. Please join us if planning good works is close to your heart.
Visibility: Deliver for Veterans
The US is back at war in the Middle East. We have lost American soldiers. These wars have costs to the brave people in uniform. We can support them by advocating for their healthcare, their mental healthcare, and housing - as well, of course, of not getting into forever wars.
Bring a sign, a friend, and a flag - and meet us in downtown Hampton to advocate for our military service members and our veterans.

Monthly Meeting of the Hampton Democrats
We’re off to the races. Come to this meeting to get involved in winning November’s elections. Politics affects everything in your life - and we need you on board helping us to build a just state and country. If you’re tired of what is happening - attacks on immigrants, rigging our economy for the rich and forgetting the poor, and making women second class citizens - the time for you to help is now.
Social Events Subcommittee Meeting
Hard telling what specifics are on the team’s agenda at present, but we know that taking advantage of the warm summer weather will be top of mind. Come and join this team to help us think creatively about how to offer social events that provide a door through which new friends and volunteers can enter.
Visibility: Pride in Full Color
Bring your signs - and be ready to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ members of our community. It’s Pride Month!
With civil rights and protections under attack at the state and federal levels, we stand firmly and proudly with our friends, family members, and neighbors in celebrating Pride Month. Bring a sign, bring a friend, and bring a flag and join us in downtown Hampton.
Frederick Douglass reading: What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?
On July 5, 1852, Frederick Douglass, an abolitionist and heroic orator for liberty, delivered one of his most famous speeches in which he asked, “What to the slave is your Fourth of July?”
We are partnering with the Black Heritage Trail of NH to bring people together to read Douglass’ historic protest speech and to reflect on its meaning. The location is being finalized.
Sunset Cruise
We’re heading out to the harbor to watch the fireworks. Please join us for this family friendly free event.
Space is limited to 2 tickets per person/email address. Advance sign up is absolutely required. Details provided when you complete the sign up form.
Note: Originally, this outing was planned for June 24, but then we realized fireworks would not be available yet. Please note updated date of July 1.
Social Events Subcommittee Meeting
As we approach the 4th of July, we will be thinking about 2 things: finishing out the summer strong and roaring into the fall as a strong, well-connected team. Join us to help plan the social outings that enhance all we work to accomplish by building genuine camaraderie.
Monthly Meeting of the Hampton Democrats
We hope you had a lovely Fourth of July. Let’s put that American pride to work saving our democracy and protecting people’s rights. We do that by winning elections. No election is more important than 2026 - because we have to flip the NH House (and Hampton has a major role in that) and win the US Senate and House races. Let’s get to work!
Monthly Meeting of the Hampton Democrats
The primary is upon us. It’s important that - whoever we are supporting in contested primaries - that we work as a party to get out the vote. Why? Big turnout gets voters excited, it tells people that Democrats can win in November, and it gives us a chance to emphasize to voters that their votes really make a difference. Please join us. Your country needs you.
Social Events Subcommittee Meeting
Join us to help us think through what our fall event calendar will look like. We will be thinking about ways we can connect while we support an all-hands-on-deck approach to the must-win midterm elections.
Monthly Meeting of the Hampton Democrats
Hopefully you enjoyed your long weekend celebrating organized labor’s contributions to America. Now, we get to work winning this election that will determine whether workers continue to have rights and protections - or if we’re going to cede our hard-won rights to collectively bargain to the billionaires like Trump, Bezos, and Trump. Let’s do this. Come down and help us win this one.
Social Events Subcommittee Meeting
Goodbye summer, hello primary season. As the blue team figures out who its candidates will be in November, we are planning to keep us connected and committed to the final prize: winning elections! Consider joining the team that works to ensure our friendships under our big tent are as strong as ever.

We’re putting the finishing touches on our fall and winter service projects in Hampton. This is a great way to get involved with your local committee and benefit the people in our town. Please join us.

Monthly Meeting of the Hampton Democrats
The election is drawing near. There is no time to waste. If you have sat it out this far, there is still time to get involved in winning this thing. We have great candidates - and they need your help. A few hours of your time can make all the difference. In the past, some elections have been decided by 1 vote in Hampton. In 2022, the majority in the NH House of Representatives was decided by just 11 votes. You can make a difference. Please join us.
Social Events Subccommittee Meeting
Well, the election is almost over. It’s time to turn our attention to closing out the year with new and old friends. Want to help us plan a holiday bash? Then please join us for this, our final Social Events Subcommittee Meeting of the year.

Our annual picnic happens in the fall, but the planning starts in the spring. Interested in helping us plan this year’s event? Please join us for our 1st planning meeting.

Office Grand Opening
We’re celebrating our first-ever full-year office presence with mimosas, coffee, and pastries. What? We have a special guest speaker: US Congressman Jim McGovern! When people bemoan a lack of fight in Democrats, they are NOT talking about Rep. McGovern. You’re going to enjoy hearing his thoughts on how we win Americans’ hearts, minds, and votes in 2026.
Sign in begins at 9:45 am. The program begins promptly at 10:10 am. Our office has limited space, so please sign up advance!
Monthly Meeting of the Hampton Democrats
This month, having decided our endorsements in January, we will be organizing around local elections. They have a direct impact on Hampton residents’ quality of life, determine how well our town government is run, and help us to chart a path forward.
There are many ways you can help. Please come to this meeting to get involved.
Good Health, Good Life! - Visibility Event
Healthcare is under attack. RJK, Jr. is trying to destroy Health and Human Service with bunk science and conspiracy theories. Trump wants to gut the ACA. And in NH, Republicans are trying to eliminate the Office of Health Access after slashing proven healthcare programs in the state budget.
Join us to tell people that Democrats want them to live healthy, productive, happy lives - and we will fight for them and their families.
ICE is NOT Cool! - Visibility Event
ICE is out of control. They’re functioning outside the law. Masked agents are ripping people off the streets. They are detaining people without warrants. They are waiting outside schools, hospitals, and houses of worship.
If you value our immigrant friends, families, and neighbors, please join us to hold a sign that says that Granite Staters do NOT want this in our communities.
Social Events Subcommittee Meeting
Calling all party planners! If you like planning social outings, this is the committee for you. Our planning meetings are hosted by Scott and Sandy Blair - and frequently feature soda, wine, and snacks.
Hands Off Women's Rights - Visibility Event
The Trump and Ayotte administrations are attacking women’s rights. We’ve had enough.
Join us downtown and hold up a sign to share that Democrats value women’s bodily autonomy, their economic rights, and their safety. NH Republicans, who are in charge of our state government, need to stand up for women.
Sunshine Subcommittee Meeting
We like to care for people in our community - and this is the team that takes the lead when there is a major loss or emerging challenge in one of our committee members’ lives. Sometimes, we also get to celebrate exciting milestones. Join this group if warm, kind outreach is just up your alley. This it the team’s first meeting of the year and all are welcome.
NHSPCA Food Drive
We’re collecting food for animals at the NHSPCA and that will be distributed to local food banks. If you are able to help, we are collecting:
Canned and dry cat and kitten food
Canned and dry dog and puppy food
Triple Crown senior horse feed
Peanut butter and soft dog treats
Monthly Meeting of the Hampton Democrats
The government that has the greatest impact on your life? It is LOCAL government. At this meeting, we will hear from the candidates for local boards and committees who want an endorsement from our committee.
This is an opportunity to ask candidates questions about issues that are important to you: the quality of our schools, the thoughtfulness of our land use planning and zoning, the prudence of our budget, and the management of our town government. It’s a great chance to decide: Do they get our stamp of approval?
Save Our Sinking Constitution - Visibility Event
TThe Trump administration is destroying due process. Civil liberties are under attack.
Join us downtown and hold up a sign to show how NH Republicans, who are in full control of our state government, need to stand up to Trump.
Give us a Break - Visibility Event
The cost of groceries is too high. Housing is unaffordable. Property taxes continue to soar.
Join us downtown and hold up a sign to show how NH Republicans, who have controlled our state government for years, need to do better.
Rockingham County Democrats' Holiday Party
It’s been a challenging year, but through it all we have stood together, organizing, supporting one another, and keeping our values at the heart of everything we do. Now it’s time to take a breath, share some joy, and refuel for the fight ahead.
The event is free to attend, but you are asked to RSVP here.
Holiday Party
Our end-of-the-year party is at C’est Cheese. Please drop by between 6 and 9 PM to (prematurely) bid adieu to 2025 - and spend time with some of your friends who helped to get you through.
