  • Amy Hansen

    Select Board

    Amy is a hard working married mother of 3 looking to provide reasonable, level-headed decision making for the Town of Hampton Select Board. She has a clear understanding of the municipal budget and departmental operations.

    In 2020, she received the Champion for Children Award from the Southeast NH Superintendent Association. She has volunteered for 9 years on the Hampton PTA. She also volunteered with theHampton Town Clock Project Committee, the Hampton Academy Renovation and Construction Team, and the Friends of Winnacunnet Foundation. She serves on the Board of Trustees of the Hampton Historical Society.

  • Katherine Harake

    Budget Committee

    Katherine has 25 years professional background in business and finance. She grew up in Hampton, lived elsewhere and then returned, and knows how much town services contribute to our overall quality of life.

    Currently serving as Chair of the Budget Committee, she is constructive while preparing the budget with fellow committee members, town officials, and department heads.

  • Matt Saunders

    Budget Committee

    Matt has been a New Hampshire resident virtually all his life and a Hampton resident since 2012. He is a graduate of UNH and UNH Law School. His wife, Mary Saunders, is the librarian at Hampton Academy. Their children attend Marston School and Winnacunnet High School. Matt has owned/been a partner at the law firm Saunders & Silverstein LLP since 2006.

    Currently serving as Vice Chair, Matt approaches budget issues with the interests of Hampton residents in mind. The town works for us all, and he believes we need a budget that serves that work. He listens respectfully to any who bring questions and concerns to my attention.

  • Larry Quinn

    Budget Committee

    Larry worked for 40 years in manufacturing, specifically close tolerance metalworking. He has been a member of the Budget Committee since 2020. He works to ensure that our town’s budget meets the needs of our veterans, senior citizens, families, and those dealing with mental health issues while also contributing to the continued growth and prosperity of Hampton.

    Larry is a 17-year Hampton resident. He is a Commander of the Sons of American Legion Squadron 70 in Seabrook.

  • Anne Marie Galanis

    Budget Committee

    Anne Marie recently retired. She is a Registered Nurse with 30 years of experience developing budgets for and managing innovative IT projects in the healthcare field. She is an effective communicator who will listens to and treats everyone respectfull.

    In her service on the Budget Committee, she wants to improve understanding of our budget and ensure it meets residents’ needs. Anne Marie has lived in Hampton for 20 years.

  • Bill O'Brien

    Zoning Board

    Bill has served on the Zoning Board of Adjustments (ZBA) for almost 20 years.

    His commitment to detail and precision are assets to Hampton’s ZBA. This attention to detail is a byproduct of having served in the United States Air Force, where he led multiple electronics research projects, armament developments, and satellite system procurements as a vice commander, commander, and program director. He holds a Master of Science degree in space physics.

    Bill has the skill set to review building and plot plans, the experience to assess applications, and the judgment to determine whether applications meet the legally required criteria for relief.

  • Erica de Vries

    Zoning Board

    Erica is an attorney and small business owner. She is active in nonprofit sector.

    Erica is the current Vice Chair of the Zoning Board. She has an unbiased and consistent approach to her service, asking many questions and ensuring that applicants meet the legal criteria for relief. She cares about protecting Hampton’s rich character and building resilience for the future.

    She served on the Master Plan Committee and now serves on the Master Plan Implementation Committee, as well as the Hampton Heritage Commission.

  • Nichole Duggan

    Zoning Board

    Nichole is a year-round beach resident and has worked in the real estate and mortgage industries. She knows Hampton’s community values and wants to make a difference.

    She is currently Secretary of the Hampton Historical Society.

    Nichole strives to be fair and unbiased in how we apply our zoning ordinances so that everyone who chooses to invest in our community receives a fair hearing and has a fair opportunity to do so.

  • Ann Carnaby

    Planning Board

    Ann has been a member of the Planning Board since 2011 and currently serves as its Chair.

    She led efforts for a complete update of Town Master Plan.

    Ann believes that there is more that unites us than divides us and she has always strived to find that common ground, emphasizing – and respecting – the non-partisan aspects of the town elected positions.

  • Keith Lessard

    Planning Board

    Keith earned a BS from Northeastern University in Business Management with a concentration on logistics and accounting.

    He believes we need to update our zoning regulations to safeguard our natural resources, protect our open spaces, sunny beaches, and ground water. He is especially concerned about keeping the ocean clean and our marshes and estuary pollution free.

    We need to balance the housing and health and safety needs of our residents and visitors with challenges of commercial development, climate change, walkability, bicycle safety, and the need to protect our historic places.

  • Sharon Mullen

    Planning Board

    Sharon earned her BS from UNH in Administration, her MA in History from Tufts, and her MBA from University of Florida. Sharon has been an energy consultantand small business owner since 2013 with a focus on clean, efficient, affordable energy.

    Her focus on the Planning Board is informed by the updated Master Plan, considering the impacts of sea level rise and climate change, the need for resilient infrastructure, supporting modern workforce development and business requirements, and focusing on a livable community for all Hampton residents.

    Planning Board

    Ward has an engineering background focused on problem solving and large project management.

    He believes that as our town continues to grow, it is important that we do so responsibly and in a way that benefits all.

  • Kathi Edgar

    Supervisor of the Checklist

    Kathi has been a resident of Hampton with her husband Mike for more than 45 years. They raised their 5 sons here, all of whom all attended Hampton public schools. Kathi was active with Hampton Youth Association and PTO while her sons were in school.

    She is a a registered physical therapist in acute care, working at Exeter Hospital for more than 30 years.

    Trustee of the Trust Funds

    Corey has been providing financial advice for 15 years as an employee of Fidelity Investments and now as an independent Certified Financial Planner and Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor.

    As a Trustee of our Trust Funds, he understands his responsibility to serve as fiduciary and ensure that important community assets are managed wisely. He utilizes his experience to help our community succeed financially. Corey as lived in Hampton for almost 10 years, is the father of 3 young boys, and has been a coach for several years with HYA basketball.

    Hampton School Board

    Les attended Hampton schools as did his three children and now his grandchildren.

    He has 50 years of educational experience in a variety of capacities including school administration, classroom teaching, and high school coaching. He has served as the Chair of the Hampton School Board.

    Hampton School Board

    Frank has lived in Hampton for 27 years. He is a US Army Veteran. He earned his BS at Western New England College and his MBA in Finance from American International College.

    He has served on Seacoast Learning Collaborative, Scheduling, Cable, and Teacher and Paraprofessional Negotiations Committees.

    His goals include: fiscally responsible school budgets and open communication with administration, staff, parents, and the entire Hampton community.

    Hampton School Board

    Wendy earned her B.A. in History from Southeastern Louisiana University.

    She has worked at Lane Memorial Library, Children's Room (Assistant Children's Librarian) for more than 10 years.

    Her goals include: supporting our public schools because they are the backbone of our community; ensuring that all children have access to an excellent and fair education in a safe and creative environment that cares for their physical, social, and emotional well-being; encouraging an open dialogue and be receptive and responsive with all members of the community regarding the SAU's progress and challenges; and providing fair and balanced fiscal responsibility.

    Hampton School Board

    Andrea has her MS in Education with almost 50 years of teaching and school administrative experience. She has served as a member of the Hampton School Board since 2014. She has consistently advocated for the educational programs and opportunities to prepare students to become good citizens and contributors to our community.

    She has tried to ensure that we prepare clear, concise, and reasonable budgets.

    Andrea is the parent of 3 Hampton school diCstrict graduates and grandparent of 3 current students.

  • Leslie Lafond

    Winnacunnet School Board

    Leslie is a lifelong resident of Hampton whose children are now grown children. She earned her BS from UNH, and a degree from the Paralegal Institute in McLean, VA.

    She is a realtor with family business Russell Associates, Inc. and a Title Examiner with 40 years in real estate.

    She has served on the WHS School Board for more than a decade; as the WHS representative on the Board of Seacoast School of Technology; on the WHS Budget Committee; on the Curriculum Committee, the ELO Community Advisor Board, Joint Board Policy Committee, and on various search committees.

    Winnacunnet School Board

    Nicole earned her Bachelor's Degree from Syracuse University and her Master’s from Springfield College.

    She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts and works with families experiencing domestic violence.

    She has lived in Hampton for 16 years and held positions throughout the NH Seacoast and North Shore of Massachusetts.

    Patricia is a longtime Seabrook resident and graduate of Winnacunnet High School and UNH.

    She is a former 4-term State Representative from Seabrook.

    She believes that public education lays the foundation for providing students the invaluable tools they need to navigate, and eventually to thrive, in the constantly changing and challenging environment that will be their future.

    Desiree believes that by encouraging greater transparency and more open communications about the issues facing Winnacunnet High School, we will build a stronger and more aware community. Busy working parents want to trust that the individuals they elect to represent them will do so in an unbiased and objective manner.

    She is a thoughtful leader who is working to ensure that all sides of an issue are considered. Desiree is a 6-year resident of Hampton Falls with 2 young children and she is bringing a fresh voice and perspective that is aligned with the beliefs and values of young families in our community.

  • Jennifer Turino

    Winnacunnet Budget Committee

    She has been a member of the Winnacunnet Budget Committee since 2018. She earned her Bachelor’s degree Simmons College (English) and Master’s degree Southern NH University (IT). She is married and has lived in Hampton for more than a decade.

    Jennifer works at UNH in Enterprise Computing and previously was in Information Tech Services at Exeter Hospital.

    Her goals include providing quality education and opportunity to prepare students, meeting the town’s expectations for a reasonable and sound budget, and ensuring that Winnacunnet remains a top performer.

    Winnacunnet Budget Committee

    Molly earned her Political Science Degree from the University of New Hampshire.

    She is a small business owner, having formerly owned the downtown Hampton shop Wicked Flannel and now operates The Big Bad Food Truck with her husband, Ben.

    She received the Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce’s Faith in the Future Award in 2020. Best of the Seacoast Finalist – 2020. Molly serves on the Board of the Hampton Historical Society.

    Molly leads with a community forward strategy because she believes it is a keystone to building and growing a town and its resources sustainably and successfully.

    Her goal is to ensure that the budget is fiscally conscientious while reflecting the authentic needs of the WHS community.

  • Jamie Marston

    Winnacunnet Budget Committee

    Jamie has been a resident of North Hampton since 1988. She earned her Master’s Degree from the University of New Hampshire. She has served in public education for 37 years, all at Winnacunnet High School. Jamie and her husband are enjoying retirement while also pursuing their antiques hobby. .

    Jamies goals1are to understand and execute the school budget committee roles and responsibilities as defined by New Hampshire Law RSA 32; work collaboratively with budget committee members, the WHS School Board, and building-level educators as appropriate; and review past and future appropriations, expenditures, and warrant articles to prepare the budget for voters.
